Dr. Christina Adam-Maier · Paediatrician
Children need more than
medical diagnoses.
They need people who
truly look.
Parents, teachers, and educators face the same questions again and again — what is really behind a child’s difficulties, what shapes their development, and where to turn for reliable guidance. I help you look more closely, and act with confidence.
“Health is not the absence of illness — it grows through a child’s successful development as a person.”

The Starting Point
The questions that parents and
educators carry
In my daily work — in hospitals and practice, in schools and kindergartens, in conversations with parents and teachers — the same uncertainties come up again and again. Behind them is rarely a lack of care for the child, but a lack of reliable orientation.
This is precisely where my work begins: not with ready-made answers, but with genuine looking and real conversation.
What lies behind concentration difficulties, sleep problems, or recurring stomach aches?
How can I recognise early when a child is losing their balance?
How can parents, educators, and teachers work together well?
Which conventional and complementary medical approaches genuinely complement each other?
Services
What I offer
Consultation that begins where children actually live — not in the waiting room, but in the classroom, the kindergarten, everyday life.
01
Individual Coaching for Parents
A personal conversation with space for your specific questions — on health, development, and upbringing. I listen, look together with you, and help you find a next step.
02
Parent Evenings for Schools and Kindergartens
I come to you — to the school, to the kindergarten. Together with parents, teachers, and educators, we discuss the topics that shape your everyday life. There is time for open questions afterwards.
03
School Visits and Consultation
I visit classrooms and observe children and young people in their daily environment. This makes it possible to notice early signs of imbalance or developmental difficulty — before larger problems arise.
About Me
A doctor who truly looks
For nearly 30 years I have worked as a paediatrician — in hospitals and practice, but also as a school and kindergarten doctor, first in German-speaking countries, then at a Waldorf school in Korea. This combination of clinical and educational settings has fundamentally shaped how I see children.
What drives me: seeing children grow up healthy and happy — and giving parents, teachers, and educators the tools to make that possible.
I work with both conventional and complementary medicine, and I advise teachers and educators as well as parents. It matters to me to keep physical and emotional health equally in view. What I pass on I have not only learned from books — but from classrooms, kindergarten rooms, and long conversations with families.

Dr. Adam-Maier visited our class and then sought a conversation with us. For the first time I felt that someone truly sees what we experience as teachers every day — and shows us concrete ways forward.

“In principle, a joint parent evening on this topic would also be quite conceivable. What do you think?”
